Rear Backup  

When trying to find jeans to fit and flatter to you, one of the most important features to consider is the BACK POCKET. Its pretty much the only part of the jean that can't be altered, so if your hard-to-fit body part is your rear, you should start your denim search by eliminating unflattering back pockets. The standard rule is:

  • If you are a size 2-6, choose jeans with pockets that are about: 5.5" wide x 5.75" high.

  • If you're a size 8+, choose jeans with pockets that are about 6.5" wide x 6.75" high.

FLAT

The best pockets for a flat rear are ones with details - stitching, embellishments, and flaps. These will give you a little moore boost. No-no's are jeans with large square pockets, slit pockets, or no pockets at all. Here are some recommended pockets:

ROUND
To keep your body looking well-proportioned, the best pockets for this rear are ones that don't over-accentuate it. This rear shape can wear slit pockets or no pockets at all and still look shapely. Here are some examples here:
