Yesterday, the 2010 Emmy Awards took place and none of the looks were really standout to me. Everybody in general looked...nice. This doesn't mean I am devoid of opinions, however:

The Good

Jayma Mays looked great in this Burberry gown. I love the gown, I love the fit, and I love navy. Kudos to Jayma!

Kim Kardashian wore a Grecian-inspired Marchesa gown. Kim is a master of red carpet looks, she ALWAYS looks gorgeous.



I thought Claire Danes looked radiant in this soft-pink sequin gown. Her hair and skin color really accentuated the overall color palette.


Rutina Wesley went a little overboard on the body oil and I am not feeling the shoes, but she looks fabulous in this dress. The fit is wonderful!








The Bad

Anna Paquin wore this Alexander McQueen gown that had all the makings for me to love it...but, something went wrong with the skirt. The seam at the waist and the awkward cut of the front hem makes me uncomfortable. Oh, and I think Anna should've eased up on the chunky bracelets due the heavy embellished neckline.



Dianna Agron in Carolina Herrera. No, your computer is not making you see double...its the dress. I either want to snatch off that bottom skirt, stitch the top skirt into the bottom one, or put an unattractive woman in it because it looks funny and draws the eye away from the face.


January Jones...this gown looks kinda off, doesn't it? The "Like a Virgin" Madonna-esque bodice, the heavy train, and  black shoes are just turning. me. off.


I've seen Lo Bosworth put more effort into a night out at Area nightclub.Come on girl! This is the Emmy Awards!








The Ugly

Christina Hendricks really upsets me. She has such an amazing figure and doesn't know how to work it. She can wear stuff that most women can't, yet she wears stuff that no woman should.


Lauren Graham's gown is looking very fashion school projectish.








The Miscellaneous

Uh oh! Is navy one of the hot colors?! I sure hope so. We've got another one - Lea Michele's navy Oscar de la Renta isn't the hottest gown, but she looks great in it.



Heidi and Seal always look good...that is all.








The Men

John Krasinski is definitely outshining his woman in Prada.


The quintessential man on and off-screen, Jon Hamm shows us how dapper he is Giorgio Armani.


I'm liking the pairing of Peter Facinelli's white tie with his Dolce & Gabbana tux.


Mark Salling looks interesting in Calvin Klein. It looks more wet than shiny...like leather or something. I hope it looked better in person.


I'm not a fan of Nelsan Ellis' look either. I think if we took away the hat and the bow tie, we'd be off to a good start.

Ordinarily, I would think that the pants and boots are too detailed to be combined, but paired with a plain tee, this is a really cute look. 

Rihanna wore a denim tube dress (I feel like I'm being taken back to the late 1990s with this dress) and an interesting-looking hat. It would've been nice for her to break up all of the blue with a different color accessory.

Lindsay Lohan was out shopping in some cute ripped jeans. BTW, I'm finally going to make mine this weekend so I'll post the process and pics next week...wish me luck! I would hate to mess up a pair of jeans for nothing.

Kim Kardashian was spotted in NYC wearing my fave ripped jeans of the moment, the Siwy Hannah in Snowstorm. She looks a little off, perhaps her breakup with boyfriend Reggie Bush had something to do with it...

Katy Perry was out in a tie-dye jumper that I have mixed feelings about. Hmm, on second thought, I kinda love it! Katy would do the jumper more justice if she bothered to wear the appropriate brassiere a bra period.

It wasn't a very exciting weekend in denim...

but the NBA Finals brought out a few celebs:

Jess arrived at the Lakers game with her boyfriend Tony in her True Religion Joey jeans. She's been playing it extra low key, isn't she? I wonder if she's preparing for a comeback...


Rihanna looked like she had a great time at the game in her J Brand Wounded Knee jeans. Whoa, those heeled Chucks shoes really take me back...


I've been wondering: why do most of these celebs root SO hard for the Lakers when they aren't even from L.A??? I don't get it.



and then there were the traveling celebs:

Victoria Beckham arrived in LAX looking fab as usual in her denim cutoffs.


Hayden arrived in her Paige jeans. Hey! Where are your people? Why are you pulling your own suitcase!?


Kim (who looks great might I add), arrived wearing a cute pair of Siwy jeans. Note to Hayden: she doesn't even have a job and she's not carrying her suitcase.



and then we have those who are just out and about:

Miley Cyrus had on a cute pair of 7 for all Mankinds.


Here we have Offender #310, Christina Milian in her double denim...blech. The light wash double denim and the hair make her look like she was just time-warped from 1988.


Sasha Obama was seen in her jeans while shopping in Paris for her 8th birthday. Cute!

It wasn't a real exciting week in denim, but here's the wrapup:

Happy Birthday Naomi! Although she had looked fabulous (pre-intoxication), she ended up drunk in the back seat with her denim jacket on:


Obviously Taylor Momsen loves the ripped denim look. Here she is in her Members Only jeans...yep, they make more than nylon jackets now:

Kim Kardashian looks laid back and casual. The bright pop of color makes me want to look over the fact that she's wearing knee boots in late May. She has been hanging out around Ciara a lot lately...damn!


Here's Heidi Montag in her fave Jet Thrasher jeans. She wears them all of the time. So yes, I could've picked a better photo of her wearing these jeans, but I chose this one instead. hehehe


Elle Macpherson was seen out shopping in her J Brand jeans. When a supermodel has to roll up her hem, this indicates that the designers are going way too far with these superlong inseams!

She may not be a victim of wearing "mom jeans," but what's up with that mom shirt???

Beyonce was out lunching with her hubby in Barcelona. I like the outfit, but I do think that those shoes are a little too much for daytime casual.


*deep sigh* Oh Pauletta! I hope I don't end up looking like my husband's mother...


Eh, I have nothing special to say about a look that isn't. Sorry Kate.


Okay, so is it just me or does LaToya Jackson look like she has shoplifted items hidden in that pocketbook that she's clutching to for dear life???...


Keyshia Cole got a new man and a new attitude. She's wearing a colored 80's inspired wash...not bad.


And my favorite look is...Kelly Rowland! Everything about this look is on point. She looks cute and polished.
