Ordinarily, I would think that the pants and boots are too detailed to be combined, but paired with a plain tee, this is a really cute look. 

Sorry this is late and very scant, but there wasn't too much happening (worth reporting) on the denim scene this weekend.

Queen Latifah performed on Good Morning America last Firiday. She looked amazing in a fitted pair of white jeans. There is nothing wrong with a plus-size girl wearing fitted jeans if  her proportions and the fit of the jeans are right.

Brandy was spotted out too in some black ripped jeans tucked into her Louboutins...why, Brandy? However, I'm a little more concerned with her friend's jeans. Since they aren't a skinny jean and don't look good gathered at the ankle, they should have have been hemmed, cuffed,...SOMEthing.

Amber Rose took some legitimate photos at the modeling agency with which she has recently signed, FORD MODELS! Whoa, impressive...congrats Amber! I like her high rise jeans, but not this outfit.
Is anybody else wondering what kind of modeling she's eligble for???

The weather is breaking and many in warmer climates *in Chicago cutting my eyes at you* are abandoning denim jeans for their spring dresses. However, some didn't disappoint:

Ciara looked super-cute from the ankle up dining at Da Silvana in NYC this weekend. I'm not really a fan of those over-embellished Louboutins...particularly with this outfit.


Vanessa Hudgens looked really cute sitting with boyfriend Zac Efron at the Lakers game yesterday. I still have a hunch that they are a staged couple, but they looked cute anyway.


Brandy, looking much more polished than usual (new wig perhaps? or maybe its her garanimal boots and bag) got a new job on a new television show so I guess she's feeling pretty good about herself these days. *psst* Hey Brandy, you don't have to be so matchy-matchy anymore...


Lauren Conrad, a fashion do with her well-fitted skinny jeans was spotted at the airport with her unknown friend, a fashion don't with her rolled-up not quite boyfriend jean. It looks more like the my-jeans-are-too-long-and-I-either-didn't-have-or-didn't-want-to-wear-a-pair-of-cute-fitting-jean jeans. If you're going to hang out with Lauren, pick up some tips along the way girl!

Vanessa Simmons looked cute and casual rocking a slim cut rolled up jean reminiscent of the Boyfriend Jean while kicking it in Miami.


Brandy had a well um interesting look while dining at Katsuya in L.A.

This is a great jean for slender women and/or women who want to bring attention to their hips. If you have a tummy and/or larger hips that you want to minimize, don't go near these.

Rihanna is one of the first to break out her Bermuda shorts while on her way into the studio to start recording.


Keri Hilson was here doing a radio interview this weekend in Chicago...I actually saw the concert and she did pretty good. The label didn't allow her to have a stage set of her own, but she CAN sing. This pic has me wondering if she can dress though...

IMAN! She is like the Eighth World Wonder! She is 53 years old and is still undeniably one of the hottest chicks out there AND is setting a good example for women everywhere: bootcuts are the universally flattering style for everybody type.

The celebrities were out and about this weekend in their straight-leg denim. Straight-leg denim jeans are a great staple b/c you can wear the same pair with flats, heels, or sneakers WITHOUT necessarily paying for a tailor.


Halle was out no doubt shopping for Nahla's first birthday looking effortlessly chic as usual. No mom jeans here.






















Beyonce was out looking....well, pretty regular. We don't like regular... HOWEVER, nothing about that rock is regular, so she gets a pass.





Brandy came out to Rihanna's belated birthday dinner party looking like she just heard about it on her way to the mall. Yeah, you're busted looking WACK and you know it too cause the look is all over your face. Don't get us wrong, the FIT of her jeans is cute, but this outfit is not event-appropriate at all.
