Hating the Look: Rihanna

Rihanna performed this past Saturday in Spain rocking a weird outfit (to say the least) and bright red hair that only Patricia Field could love.

I like when people change up their look (you hear me Bey?), but I'm hoping this hair color is gone by July 4th.

Hating the Look: Good Girls Gone Bad

In the past few days, a few of our fashion faves have made not-so-cute decisions in their choice of spring ensembles.

Offender #1: Halle Berry

*deep sigh* This makes me sad. This is sooo unlike her! What are these? Skants??? A Pirt??? I don't know and don't need to because they shouldn't even exist.

Offender #2: Rihanna

I really enjoy effortless looks, but we shouldn't take the word "effortless" literally.  No one, not even a superstar could pull this outfit off. And Rihanna is NO exception.

Offender #3: Gwen Stefani

What in the sheer h***?! While I must admit that I don't always enjoy her looks, she usually does much better than this.

Hating the Look: Kelis

It looks like we have a repeat offender. Kelis, wore this getup last week to the First Annual Data Awards. There really isn't any point in commenting any further. The tuxedo jacket is cute...

Hating the Look: Amber Rose

This pains me to do as I thought I'd never have to do it...okay maybe not "never," but Amber Rose has gone too far. I usually love love LOVE her style, but *Katt Williams voice* this look right here....

Why did she even bother wearing anything at all??!!!

And I'd like to give a Hating the Look shout-out to Kanye's loafers. You were almost missed, but the light bouncing off of your crystals made me take notice.

Hating the Look: Kelis

Now, I love me some Kelis and she's looking great post-baby, but I am HATING this look! Too much multi-colored fur, leather, and studs.

Is it just me or are you thinking Cruella DeVille too???

Fashion Fail: Rodarte for Target

Sooo, some pics of the highly anticipated Rodarte/Target Go International line have leaked...and I'm sad to report that I. HATE. IT. I tried to look at these photos from several different perspectives to determine if it was the styling that turns me off, and not the clothes. After getting over my initial shock and disappointment, I determined that I would wear (though not necessarily buy) the cardigans, but these other pieces can kick rocks. This is a fashion fail for me. To think, I was going to take an early lunch to be at the store when it opened! Not anymore...

Here are some photos:

Before I upset some of you by coming off as seemingly "closed-minded," let me show you what I expected. I expected something along the lines of the pieces I've seen some celebs wear:

So, as you could imagine, this line would leave a lot left to be desired. What are your thoughts?

Hating the Look: Lady Gaga

Last Friday, Lady Gaga showed up at the 2009 Billboard Magazine Rising Star Award at The Pierre in New York wearing this *wrinkling my nose* sheer hair and feather-covered costume monstrosity dress. “It’s from an up-and-coming new London designer,” she said. Keep designing like this Holly Russell and your career will be over before it began.

Hating the Look: Estelle

Estelle was spotted in London during Fashion Week in this awful stonewashed side-zip denim dress. I don't care how you try to accessorize that thing, it is U-G-L-Y. This looks like a thrifting trip gone terribly wrong.

Hating the Look: Peaches Geldof

Denimology brought my attention to this denim DON'T: Peaches Geldof. Who is Peaches you ask? (I know I did). She is said to be a socialite of some sort. So I decided to google this unfortunately-dressed girl, and this is what Wikipedia reported about Ms. Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa Geldof *crickets* Yeah.....:

Geldof was born in London in 1989, the second daughter of Bob Geldof and Paula Yates. She is the granddaughter of Hughie Green. Her sisters are Fifi Trixibelle Geldof (born 1983) and Pixie Geldof (born 1990), and she also has a younger half-sister, Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof (born 1996).
She grew up in Chelsea. After moving out of her father's house in Battersea, Peaches rented a flat in Islington, North London, but gave up her lease to move to New York with then-husband, Max Drummey. She now splits her time between her apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and the Mayfair Hotel in London, to which she is reportedly an ambassador.

Tabloid coverage of her lifestyle has centered mainly on her celebrity boyfriends, including Donny Tourette, Frederick Blood-Royale, and Joe Van Moyland, although this rumor was vehemently denied by Peaches herself.

*yawn* Ok, I've already written enough about Peaches to not care about her in the slightest. However, if you do care and want to read a list of her "accomplishments" that you are hoping may potentially justify this offense against all things fashion, you can read more here.

Hating the Look: Chris Brown

Last week Chris Brown was spotted out in L.A. wearing this horrific outfit. I really do like his top, but what's up with those gym socks??? He might as well have thrown on his church shoes instead of these Ked-like kicks.

Hating the Look: Terrell Owens

So Terrell Owens had a premiere party this weekend at the Mondrian Hotel for his new VH1 reality show, and if he wanted attention, he surely got it. He didn't forget to accessorize his jeans/leather jacket oufit, but he forgot his shirt...NOT sexy.

Hating the Look: Pharrell Williams

Pharrell Williams showed up to the Serpentine Gallery summer party in London yesterday wearing knee-high brown boots over loose jeans.

I love men in fashionable boots, but I'm sorry, THIS is unacceptable! It looks like he bought some women's riding boots and unbuckled them to make them look more masculine. Well, he FAILED! I like the rest of his outfit though.
